Saddle-stitch booklets (stapled spine) are perfect for menus, programmes, catalogues and zines. We print, fold and staple them in-house, so short runs are fast. Here's how to set one up.
Page count must be a multiple of 4
Each folded sheet makes four pages, so your total page count (cover included) must divide by four — 8, 12, 16, 20, 24… If your file isn't a multiple of four, we'll add blanks or ask you to adjust.
How to count pages
Count every side as a page. A booklet with a front and back cover, inside-front and inside-back, plus 12 inner sides = 16 pages. The cover is four of your total, not extra.
Send single pages, not spreads
Supply single pages in reading order (1, 2, 3…) as one multi-page PDF. Don't impose them into spreads — our system arranges the pages for folding automatically. 3mm bleed all round, CMYK, fonts embedded.
Paper & minimums
Our Standard build is 150gsm text pages with a 250–300gsm cover; ask us about laminated or heavier covers. From just 50 copies, with the per-unit price dropping sharply at 100, 250 and 500.
