Custom Meal Sleeves FAQs

How do you size it to my tray?

Every sleeve is custom-made to your specific CPET tray, so the tray slides into the sleeve snugly. Send us your tray’s width, height and depth in mm, the tray brand/model, or just post us a sample — we build the dieline to fit and send you a template and proof to approve before printing.

Is it food-safe and will it survive the fridge or freezer?

The sleeve wraps the outside of your lidded tray and doesn’t touch the food, and we print with food-safe inks. For chilled or frozen meals add a matte or gloss laminate so condensation and grease don’t mark the print.

What is the minimum order?

Just 50 sleeves. Most printers start at a few hundred — we run short digital batches so you can test a design or do a small market run.

What board and finishes can I choose?

300gsm white (best for full-colour) or 300gsm kraft (natural look), uncoated or with matte/gloss laminate for grease and moisture resistance.

How do I set up artwork?

Once we have your tray size we send you a template marked with the cut line, crease lines, 3mm bleed and 6mm safe zone. Keep text and panels inside the safe zone and supply a print-ready CMYK PDF. No artwork? We’ll design it and send a proof.

Can you print both sides or wrap-around?

Yes — full-colour 1-side is standard; ask us for a 2-side or wrap-around print and we’ll quote the small uplift.

How fast is turnaround?

A few working days from approved artwork; laminated runs add about a day. Printed and creased in-house in Mount Maunganui, couriered NZ-wide.

Can you design it for me?

Yes. Send your logo, colours and any nutrition/allergen details and we’ll lay out a print-ready sleeve to fit your tray, with a proof to approve.
